  1. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) completed 4 years on 24 February, 2023.  
  2. According to Guinness World Records report, a team of mountaineers and scientists led by an electrician and mountain guide Tenzing Gyalzen Sherpa, has installed a record-breaking weather station at an altitude of 8,810 metres (28,904 ft), just 39 metres (128 ft) below Everest’s summit.
  3. On 23 February 2023, Sajjan Jindal, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Mumbai-based JSW Group, was named as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) 2022.  
  4. CSC Academy, a subsidiary of Common Service Centre e-Governance Services India Limited, and NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance digital literacy and skill development in India.
  5. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will soon launch India’s first virtual shopping app called ‘Momentum 2.0’ for metro commuters to purchase products, book services and collect orders at the destination stations. It will also provide features such as instant recharge of metro smart cards and smart payment options for other utility services.
  6. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on 22 February, 2023 inaugurated the four-day National Horticulture Fair in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
  7. Thyreus narendrani, a new species of cuckoo bee was discovered in Kerala’s Srayilkadavu Kole wetland ecosystem, Malappuram district, and Christ College campus.
  8. The Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region of India and the Regional Coordination Operations Centre, Seychelles signed a MoU on maritime cooperation on 21 February, 2023.
  9. The Kerala Government has launched robotic scavenger, ‘Bandicoot’, to clean sewages in the temple town of Guruvayur, becoming the first state in the country to use robotic technology to clean all its commissioned manholes.
  10. On 23 February 2023, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud announced that the Supreme Court has launched ‘Neutral Citations’ of judgments to ensure a uniform pattern of citing its decisions.
  11. The Churchgate Railway Station in Mumbai will be renamed as ‘Chintamanrao Deshmukh Station’, after the first Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) CD Deshmukh.
  12. SS Rajamouli’s directorial, ‘RRR’ has bagged 5 awards including the ‘Best International Film’ and ‘Best Original Song’ awards at the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Film Awards 2023.
  13. Australia won the Women’s T20 World Cup for the sixth time defeating South Africa by 19 runs in the final at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.
  14. The International Labour Organization (ILO), Geneva, Switzerland has chosen the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), Girish Chandra Murmu to serve as its External Auditor for a four-year term from 2024 to 2027.
  15. On 23 February 2023, Paris Saint-Germain’s and former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has announced his retirement from international football. 
  16. In line with the expanding military cooperation with South East Asian nations, an Indian Navy Kilo class conventional submarine, INS Sindhukesari, docked in Jakarta, Indonesia, for the first time.
